On the hand the parable says that the foolish virgins had time to buy oil and returned to Jesus, but the doors were already closed. Although this writing says later that we should prepare ourselves for those happenings which Mat24 describes (and I agree with that as well), however it says then that there will be no time for further preparations it we miss to do that now. This is a clear contradiction to the previous statement and to the parable that there will be time to buy oil. Jesus didn't despise the foolish virgins because they didn't have any oil when they came back. The very reason was He said, that He didn't know them. The Greek word used for "know" means also "see with physical eyes", "be visible" etc. Therefore I don't really like this explanation of the parable.Luxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03894332851468933150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5608607035458619989.post-30620715606153638402020-08-23T05:44:18.982-07:002020-08-23T05:44:18.982-07:00This writing is also a bit controversial. I needed this so much. Can I share this on my FB wall? I want to give out this teaching and encouragement to others. I want so badly to be used by the Lord to help prepare and encourage others to prepare and live as living sacrifices. Bought and sold out for Jesus Christ. Please Lord help us to walk soberly and be prepared for whatever comes.
James 2:17,18https://www.blogger.com/profile/09156152426922345701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5608607035458619989.post-39042012384008020152015-07-30T14:46:16.441-07:002015-07-30T14:46:16.441-07:00Great post Robert. The Lord has me giving me exactly the same message to share on the two Facebook groups Spiritual Prepping With Jesus For The Tribulation, and The True Church Of Jesus Christ. Feel free to come take a look or join. And I would love it if you would post this post over there. God bless you brother! It is so good to get confirmation from a fellow believer as to what these things mean, and how we need to make sure that we are prepared, and to help others prepare.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09742622257182748358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5608607035458619989.post-70736891370494866052015-02-08T01:26:15.072-08:002015-02-08T01:26:15.072-08:00This makes so much more sense now!

Not because it hits me so hard, but because this is what I've been preaching and preaching to deaf ears, to brick walls, and been rejected, ridiculed, and rebuked. THANK YOU for also seeing that Matt 24 & 25 are ALL the answer to ONE question, and thus cannot be broken apart. The parables were written to the Bride, the Servants etc...not to the unbelievers or just the Jews. This is serious, and will be the core ignighter of the great apostacy. It is almost upon us, it has even begun.

Praise God for you, truth-teller. Be encouraged. In other words, are you a person who wants to be a Christian, perhaps attends church meetings, but does not have any "oil in his lamp", in other words, no spiritual life in your heart? Are you, in other words, only a nominal Christian, do you have external Christian habits in your life, but have really not been born again and experienced a living faith?
It really is possible that if God has not had the chance to awaken us, we are just these kinds of people. We can have all the external signs of Christianity, we may have turned away from certain sins, and we might think that we are on our way to Heaven, even though we are in fact going just the opposite direction. This is possible if we have not yet seen our true condition and the need for salvation in the light of God.

http://www.jariiivanainen.net/foolish_virgin.htmlman with desirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13881690798999758579noreply@blogger.com
